Wayne had to go to Hawaii for work and the kids and I got to go! We went to Honolulu and stayed in a hotel room that was connected to the mall he was working at. The trip was scheduled to be 12 days, but once we were there he had the hardest time finding employees. We ended up extending the trip making it 16 DAYS!! With 2 kids that is a LONG time, but it was fun. Averie, Easton, and I went to the beach every day(the picture of Easton in the double stroller packed with all of our beach stuff explains a lot of the looks people gave me.) Averie loved the beach and didn't want to come home. She was so good in the ocean(people looked at me like I was crazy for letting her be in there by herself but what choice did I have? 2 kids...1 parent??) We also went to the zoo and the aquarium. Poor Easton just wants to sleep all day, so we had to try and make it back to the hotel and figure out how to keep Averie quiet so that he could get a nap in. Once we opened the couch for Averie to sleep on, along with Eastons crib, you couldn't even walk around our room, it was hilarious! The lady that had to clean our room everyday didn't hide her annoyance with us! When we were supposed to leave she asked me if we were leaving tomorrow, when I had to tell her we extending our stay she said,"well then I guess I'll keep cleaning your room." with such a sad look on her face. I wanted to ask her how she thought we felt:) The picture of Averie on the little horse ride makes me laugh. She thought that these horses were her friends, we went to feed them EVERYDAY!(it cost $1 to ride that darn thing) We made it over to the Polynesian Cultural Center one day and it was my favorite part! They do such a good job of showing parts of each different culture.(I love the picture of Averie's first tattoo, Wayne was a little unsure but her and I thought it was Awsome) We made it to the temple too! I think that we got so lucky the plane rides went so good. Such a fun trip, I'm so glad that we were able to do this fun trip as a family!
