ViVa LaS vEgAs

We got to go to Las Vegas this week and it was a blast! We havent stayed in a hotel for such a long time, when Averie was little she WOULD NOT sleep anywhere that was unknown to her. I remember a time we stayed in Mesquite and we ended up walking her around gross Mesquite all night. So we are happy that we finally feel like we can venture out. Easton is so much more easy going...keep him feed and snuggled and you're good to go! Averie was so cute though, she thought Vegas was the coolest thing ever. The lights everywhere amazed her, the castle(aka Excalaber) the king(aka Luxor statue) the water show at the Bellagio, the fish tank at the Ceasars Palace, and I can't forget the games(aka slot machines) that I wouldnt let her play. She was very impressed! What I love about Vegas is that everyone fits in there, there isnt a norm...ANYTHING goes....kind of refreshing actually. Nobody stands out there...EXCEPT people with a double stroller! We were at the Miracle Mile Shops and the kids and I took a break at the water falls when all of a sudden we make some friends, the little boys mom wanted these two to have an arranged married...REALLY she asked where we lived and eveything. She thought Averie was so pretty that she kept taking pictures of her(I actually love people that have no boundries, I've always envied them because they never feel the awkwardness that I do) and the two were adorable, he put his arm around Averie for pictures and wanted to share everything with her. Averie wanted to have her picture taken in front of everything like everyone else....so we were those annoying people who disturb the flow of traffic to take pictures in front of things that are NOT that cool. Oh and I forgot the picture of Easton by the pool with his big belly hanging out and him sleeping shows exactly what his personality is, LAID BACK!

Easton Wayne Ott

I know I'm not going to get mom of the year for how long it has taken me to put pictures of Easton on the blog, but better late than never! He was born on April 15(yes I know tax day, that was all any of the nurses could talk about while I was in labor) it was 10 days early. He was 7.3 lbs. 20.5 inches long. It feels like he sleeps all day(maybe I'm just comparing him to his sister who never...I mean NEVER slept:) He is growing so darn fast, it could be that he has been eating 5 ounces every 3 hours since week 2(I am not exaggerating) The first couple of weeks Averie would run and hind when he cried, she wouldnt hold him just get close enough to see him and that was enough.....now I feel like all I say is Averie softer, dont do that Averie, Averie if you poke him in the eye again I am going to poke you in your eye:( Averie doesnt want to mother him she just wants him to play with her, she is a good help to get diapers and sing to him though.
